Nadamuri Balakrishna cinched the Hindupur constituency — his family bastion — by a landslide. His thumping win firmed TDP's hold over the region. And now, talks are that the actor-politician might get a ministerial berth at the new state government.
For all who didn't know, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was founded by late legendary actor NT Rama Rao, Balakrishna's father. No NTR family member, contesting from the Hindupur constituency, has lost the elections so far.
Balakrishna, who filed filed his nomination in this constituency on April 16, beat his opponents by a whopping margin of 15000 votes. Telugu Desam Party, which needs 88 seats to form government in Seemandhra region, has lead the race by winning 104 seats, claiming huge victory.
With the 'Legend' superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna all set to step into a minister's shoes now, his fans wonder if like Chiranjeevi, he too would quit acting to pursue his political career?
