With the reigns of the national capital in hand and Lokpal Bill in its kitty, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all raring to go as it gears up to rock the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2014 and take on the political parties by their horn in most states.
Emphasizing the party's new battle-plan, one party spokesperson revealed their confidence in winning hearts and minds of the states ruled by the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party. And their mission election kicks off with Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking to a leading daily, AAP national executive member and party strategist Yogendra Yadav said: "In most states, political parties have been discredited and these parties have lost confidence of the people. Like in Haryana, the political parties, government as well as Opposition, are mired in corruption. Similar is the situation in states like Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka and, to some extent, Maharashtra. AAP will have good opportunity in all these states."

AAP stakes its hopes on the nine states, the 'Nav Ratnas' of the future— Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Gujarat.
Buoyed by their Delhi win, AAP leaders now believe that their party is capable of getting similar or even better response in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh — states that account for no less than 90 seats in the Lok Sabha.
