BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has finally got the support of LK Advani, the party's patriarch. Advani had been openly against Modi since the latter was projected as BJP's presumptive PM candidate for 2014.

On Monday, BJP's veteran leader publicly endorsed Modi while campaigning in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar for a party candidate. Advani while addressing the crowd said that Modi will bring the much needed change in the country.

Advani while campaigning for Dilip Gandhi told the crowd in Ahmednagar to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of india and see the changes in the country.

The senior BJP leader promished good government if the party comes to power.

The 86-year-old BJP leader's public endorsement is a sharp contrast to his open disagreement to Modi's Ascension as BJP's prime ministerial candidate last year.

Advani's opposition was evident even two weeks ago when he was reluctant to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

He wanted to contest from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh as he was reportedly worried that his consistent opposition to the Gujarat CM would reduce his chances of winning from Gandhinagar.

However, he fell in line with the party's decision. His short rebellion is being seen as a disagreement within the BJP, by leaders like Advani, Jaswant Singh and Sushma Swaraj, as a disapproval to Modi's overwhelming prominence in the saffron party.
