Animal right activist and union minister Maneka Gandhi is mighty "Entertained" by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. And heck no, it isn't the movie that we are discussing here.

In fact, she is nighty impressed with Akshay Kumar and the entire unit's stance towards the kennel of dogs featuring in the film.

Mrs. Gandhi is so floored by the “dog treatment” that she hosted a special premiere of the film in Delhi on Thursday for the film's crew and members of her organization People for Animals (PFA).

Endorsing the film, she said that she is happy to see the way a dog has been used in the film in a respectful way. “I am happy to have this event as our annual fund-raiser," Gandhi, who also attended the film's trailer launch couple of months ago in Mumbai, said.

"After the law of not portraying animals in cruel manner has been passed, filmmakers are using them in a good way. They don't want to take a fight with Censor Board first and then with me. I am happy to see that now they are respecting animals," she said.

“Entertainment”, which releases today, is a funny take on a dog and human bond. It is about a golden retriever, who inherits all the wealth from his master, while his son (Akshay) is left in the zilch.

During the premiere, Akshay said he would be happy if anyone adopts a dog after watching this film.

"The genre of man and animal relationship has not been explored much. Entertainment has come after 18 years. I don't know whether the film will work or not but if a person after watching the film wants to adopt a dog, my purpose is done," Akshay added.
