A day after attack on the Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Haji Yakoob Qureshi threatened the same consequences to anyone who will show disrespect for Prophet Mohammed.

The Uttar Pradesh police are conducting raids in search of leader Haji Yakub Qureshi for declaring a prize of Rs 51 crore for the terrorists, who carried out the terror attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo's office in Paris.

The police have issued the arrest warrant after Yakub Qureshi justified the Paris shootout and said people disrespecting Prophet Muhammad deserve death.

Qureshi said the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo continuously making fun of religion which is why the attack was carried out.

After the attack the BSP leader praised the attackers and declared the amount of 51 crore for attackers. The politician was in controversy in 2006, for announcing the similar prize money for anyone who kills the Danish cartoonist who drew a caricature mocking the Prophet.

BJP strongly condemns and stated that Qureshi should be arrested and put behind bars, even Janata Dal (United) leader Ali Anwar said that his party disagrees with Qureshi's statement.
