The People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday rejected the offer of National Conference President Omar Abdullah’s unconditional support letter to the governor for the government formation.

PDP chief spokesperson Naeem Akhtar told the media that Omar was playing mind games to mislead public’s desire to change the inefficient government. Omar is trying to cash the political uncertainty in the state.

“Governor’s rule is better than any alliance with NC. People voted for change. They voted against National Conference. It is a power-hungry party. The actions of Omar Abdullah are nothing but pressure tactics to compel PDP into taking wrong decisions,” Akhtar said.

Earlier, Omar Abdullah has written a letter of supporting the PDP to form government. And Omar shared this message in twitter, “@JKNC_has written to Governor Vohra Sahib reiterating our offer of support to @jkpdp and asking him to call us before deciding the assembly viability,”

The communiqué to Jammu & Kashmir Governor N N Vohra was delivered by NC provincial president Devender Singh Rana on Tuesday afternoon following the party’s core group meeting at Srinagar.

National Conference (15) and Congress (12) would have formed the government if they have magic figure. However NC is trying to keep BJP away from the government formation on the grounds of communal agendas. BJP and PDP are still continuing negotiations but Article 370 and AFSPA are becoming hurdle’s for government formation.
