Drug Busts, Police Seize Trove Of Drugs, Cash And Gun

Seattle Police Officials said that last week two drug busts led to the seizure of a stash of drugs, including methamphetamine, heroin, and psychedelic mushrooms, $17,000 in cash and a pistol. The busts occurred on last Thursday.

In one case, the bicycle officers came upon 26-year-old dealer and a 20-year-old man as they sat in an SUV at the Second Avenue and Madison Street.

Police found 50 grams of heroin, and small amounts of methamphetamine and amphetamine pills with them. Both the men were arrested.

In the second bust, police arrested the alleged dealer at an apartment in the 2100 block of Third Avenue.

The 35-year-old suspect gave permission to police to search his apartment. Officers found more than 60 grams of heroin, 80 grams of methamphetamine, 58 grams of mushrooms, 20 oxycontin pills, 25 Viagra pills and a two-shot pistol in his apartment.

He also told the police about storing methamphetamine at a hotel nearby. Police found 379 grams of methamphetamine in a hotel room safe at the hotel in the 1100 block of Sixth Avenue.

The 35-year-old man, who is a convicted felon, was jailed on basis of investigation of drug and weapons violations.
