As the farmers’ protests are continuing all over the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the government is committed to protect the interests of the farming community and the agricultural sector through the new policies.
The government has taken various initiatives to improve the income of people who are involved in the agricultural sector. He also added saying that farmers’ are misunderstanding the benefits these laws give them. With the new laws, farmers have the option to sell their crops in madis as well as to outside parties, generating more customers.
The government has taken multiple and various initiatives to improve the income of people to engage in the agricultural sector. The government is fully committed to protect the interest of farmers through policies.
The prime minister was also dissatisfies with the limited participation in India Inc in the agricultural sector. The PM is asking industries to show interest and increase investment in the agricultural sector.
Because India Inc. Has not made any adequate investments, farmers are feeling as if their revenue will be short and they will lose multiple incentives which they were offered before. The government wants all the parties responsible in lieu of this law to explore the agricultural sectors full potential rather than work in a limited fashion
Modi also added that the private sector’s involvement in the agricultural sector is actually more limited than the farmers’ think. The farmers’ will actually be receiving more benefits post the policies says the prime minister.
Thousands of farmers are still protesting all over the country to dismantle the laws. After 5 table talks, the sixth will determine whether the laws will be abolished or not.
