India celebrating Women's Day: Nita Ambani launches social media platform for women

The entire nation is celebrating Women's Day today and wishes poured in from the celebrities and entrepreneurs across the country. The International Women's Day will be celebrated on March 8th as a mark to celebrate the rights and achievements of women. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took his official Twitter page to wish on the occasion and he posted "Saluting our indomitable #NariShakti on International Women’s Day! India takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of our nation. It is our Government’s honor to be getting the opportunity to work towards furthering women empowerment across a wide range of sectors".

Several women celebrities wished and congratulated other women through their social media handles. Celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Mandira Bedi, Malaika Arora and others wished on the occasion. There are several images and WhatsApp messages, quotes that are circulated today. Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Mukesh Ambani launched a social media platform 'Her Circle' on the occasion which is aimed at empowering women. It is a one stop destination that will provide women-related content. The subscribers of Her Circles will be able to watch the videos, articles on wellness, finance, personality development and work along with other features. The registration is for free and Her Circle was launched yesterday, a day before Women's Day. It is launched in English and will be expanded in other languages.
