The coronavirus pandemic shattered the lives of several families across the globe. The mankind is yet to recover completely from the tragedy. Lots of families lost their livelihood and some of them lost their earning members of the family. A 17-year-old girl Vanisha Pathak received legal notices on the home loan taken by her deceased father. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman took her twitter to respond about the issue. She tagged the Department of Financial Affairs and LIC India. She asked them to look into the issue. "@DFS_India @LICIndiaForever Please look into this. Also brief on the current status. Vanisha Pathak scored 99.8 percent in Tenth Class Board exams and she soon lost both her parents for Covid-19. Her father Jeetendra Pathak worked as an LIC Agent and he has taken a home loan from office. Vanisha has been receiving notices after her father's demise and she was asked to repay the loan. LIC blocked all his savings as she is a minor. Vanisha has written several times for the authorities to give her enough time to repay the loan. When contacted the officials, they said that the application has been sent to the Central office. The first legal notice was sent on February 2nd to repay Rs 29 lakhs. The parents of Vanisha died in May 2021. Vanisha and her brother are now taken care of her maternal uncle Professor Ashok Sharma.
