Maharashtra Politics: More MLAs to Join the Rebels

The Shiv Sena led government in Maharashtra is heading for minority as 40 MLAs from the party turned rebels. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray interacted with the press and announced that he would resign if he fails to prove the majority. As per the latest update, 4-5 more MLAs from Shiv Sena are expected to join the rebels and they are all st to fly to Guwahati through Surat. They would join the rebel camp soon. Among them, three are said to be Sanjay Rathore, Dadaji Bhause and Ravindra Fatak. Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma has reached Guwahati hotel to talk with Shinde and other leaders.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that they want justice for Uddhav Thackeray and others. BJP is using money and power to influence the leaders and politicians told Mamata Banerjee. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge told that the Centre is responsible for destabilizing the governments. There are talks that Shiv Sena will soon quit the alliance with the Congress and NCP. As of now, 42 MLAs are in a star hotel in Guwahati and is led by Ekanth Shinde. MLAs gathered in a hall for a photo shoot. The Rebels wrote to the Governor and declared Eknath Shinde as their leader. BJP responded saying that the crisis happens to be an internal matter. BJP also revealed that the party did not speak to Ekanth Shinde.
