Manipur Bone-Chilling Video Grips Tension In The State

A painful act to humanity, a bone-chilling video of a woman walking naked on the roads of Manipur paraded by a mob is horrific to look at. The video came into the limelight after 40 days of taking place. The incident outraged the civilization of India. Leaders around the country and celebrities are mourning after looking at the video.

Opposition parties cornered the BJP government in Parliament over the incident. Members of the Kuki community have carried out a wide range of protests throughout the state. Prime Minister Modi asked for serious action against the act. The ethnic clashes between the Meitei and Kuki communities turned out to be sexual assaults and murders.

The house of the main accused was burnt down and visuals are again viral on social media. The protests were mostly taken up by women. Four people linked to the incident were taken into custody and police have registered abduction and gang rape cases as a suo-moto.

Sadly this alone is not the video to be in the first place when compared to the other horrifying videos leaked online from Manipur. Manipur violence is turning out to be a threat to the central government and shame on humanity. The advisor of chief minister Radhe Shyam, a retired IPS officer resigned from the post.

To date, more than 150 people have been killed after the Meitei community was included in the Scheduled Tribe category. 53 per cent of the state’s population was Meitei community, who live mostly in Imphal Valley. While the real tribes Nagas and Kukis, who are 40 per cent live in the hill districts and started the protests.
