American President Joe Biden warns Israel not to occupy Gaza. From the start of the Hamas attack, the US was standing behind Israel, but Biden today on “60 Minutes” said not to occupy Gaza and that would be a big mistake if does.
Including 29 Americans a total of 1300 people were killed in this war. Israel's coastal enclave is controlled by Hamas and Israel is in plans to reoccupy the coastal region, which Biden has objected to. Even the UN officials have warned of a humanitarian crisis.
Biden in an interview says that the extreme elements of Hamas don’t represent all the Palestinian people. His words are like, he is considering visiting Israel in the coming days. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also extended his invitation to Joe Biden over the weekend. He also responded to Joe Biden's saying that the Hamas are a bunch of cowards hiding behind the civilians.
Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, immediately after the withdrawal in the next election Hamas won the election. For almost 18 years Hamas has ruled the West Bank under the moderate Palestinian leaders.
Besides this Israel's defence forces have confirmed that they will soon enter the Gaza Strip and decimate the terror groups of Hamas. The United States and the European Union have already confirmed that Hamas is a terrorist group.
