Agitated farmers are marching to Delhi after the Haryana government dismantled check posts along the Sambu border between Haryana and Punjab. Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Chittupur president Jagjit Singh Talewal told NDTV that they will continue their peaceful protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar or Ramlila Maidan. Farmers have been protesting against the central government making various demands, including the provision of minimum support price (MSP) for the crops. They have been camping on the Haryana border since February, when police clashed with protesters trying to march towards Delhi. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has now directed the state government to remove the barriers along the border. According to the Supreme Court, the ban would cause inconvenience to passengers. The Haryana government filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the verdict. The farm manager said "the government will be held responsible" if they stop and block the road again.
