Oops! He did it again, he played with her heart, got lost in the game, and now he is headed for a third-time divorce, it seems.

Human Resource Development Minister of state, Thiruvananthapuram MP and possibly one of the best-looking Indian politicians in the board, Shashi Tharoor is in the eye of a Twitter storm, for allegedly cheating on his wife Sunanda Pushkar over Pakistani Journalist Mehr Tarar.

The Shashi Tharoor-Sunanda Pushkar grand romance, which took off in Dubai and ended with a grand marriage in Tharoor's homestate, seems to be irretrievably falling apart, and in the most spectacular fashion.

What kicked off as a story about Tharoor's hacked Twitter account yesterday, is fast turning into a cheap and very public farce of marital infidelity.

Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor disdainfully burned her bridges by alleging Pakistani columnist Mehr Tarar of being an ISI agent who is "stalking my husband" with whom he supposedly had a "rip-roaring affair."

However, by yesterday evening, the seemingly unwell Pushkar rolled back her allegations and claimed that both hers and Shashi Tharoor's Twitter accounts had been "hacked". Later, the couple issued a joint statement proclaiming that they were "happily married" and "intend to remain that way".

"She (Tarar) has been stalking my husband on Twitter, sending him repeated requests for an interview, saying that she wishes to come to India. This woman is trying to sabotage our marriage.”

"Shashi and I do not have any problems, we only have a hacker, probably this woman, who is hacking into Shashi's computer. I was only telling her to keep away," Pushkar revealed to Mail Today on Thursday afternoon.

Mehr Tara, meanwhile, has rebuffed all allegations revealing that she knew Tharoor for a year now, after she met him for an interview last year.

"I am very happy if they are happy but I really want to know why Sunanda has put my life in jeopardy by labelling me as an ISI agent. My life has been put in danger not only in India but in Pakistan also. I am not a 15-year-old to stalk someone. And anyway, how does one stalk somebody on Twitter?" Tarar said.

"Pushkar said I am out to spoil Shashi's election. But Kerala and Lahore are very far off. I am ready to take it if she calls me ugly or says I have bad dressing style. But ISI agent is something I don't understand. I have often spoken out against the establishment here. I met Shashi n April last year for an interview in India. Then I met him in June in Dubai in a social gathering. Yes, I have been in touch with him once in a while on Twitter and email but that is it," Tara concluded.
