Kerala Opening Theatres From 13 Jan Onwards January 12, 2021 12:49

After the shocking news of Karnataka opening educational institutions offline despite the pandemic, now Kerala is opening cinemas on the state from 13th January onwards. Theaters have been shut all over the country since the beginning of the pandemic. Because of this, malls have had trouble paying for rent or electricity bills during the pandemic. However, the fixed electricity charge is also being reduced by 50% for all the malls in the state to compensate for the charges that they haven't received during the pandemic. The cinema owners only decided to open theaters if they were provided waivers by the government. The government has decided to make the entertainment tax which was previously 10% and the GST the same tax price, reducing the cost of property tax for the theatre owners. The state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced the validity of licenses for theaters and cinema to be opened till March 31st, 2021. Cinema halls are given installments to pay their taxes to to local bodies from March onwards. The Kerala Film Chamber of Cinema was the corporation that declared the opening of theaters across the state. The Malayalam film industry is highly pleased with the announcement and will follow strict protocols set by the health officials to produce movies and follow social distancing protocols simultaneously. Karnataka To Start Offline Classes From Jan 15th January 12, 2021 11:00

From January 15th onwards all schools, Universities and student hostels will be open for students to attend in person. The Deputy Chief Minister had made all preparations to lay out standard procedures and operations from students to attend the education establishments safely without causing any harm or spreading the COVID-19 virus. Offline classes will allow students of all undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering and diploma classes from January 15th onwards. Bus services for the educational establishments will also resume from 15th Jan onwards. To prevent the spread of the virus, there will be strict protocols to be followed including Covid screening, sanitizers and social distancing at places in colleges. Wearing a mask will be compulsory for all students. However, exams for all grades will be conducted offline. The Chief Minister stated that holding exams offline is conventional as that was the direction given by the Country education authorities. Students are taking this issue on the internet to express their disbelief and how this rule is a risk for their wellness and health. More news regarding this issue is yet to come out soon. Egg And Chicken Prices Drop Due To Bird Flu Outbreak January 08, 2021 19:11

The bird Flu aka the Avian influenza has been reported in multiple states including Rajasthan, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. Multiple birds and flock of birds were reportedly found dead near banks and in preserves. The flu began in India since January 6th. Due to the upcoming and rising flu, the demand and even consumption of egg and poultry has drastically decreased in parts of the country. There has yet been no aviation influenza or commonly, the bird flu has left multiple birds found dead in different states in the country. The egg and poultry business industry is worth 1.75 Rs. Lakh crore. The bird flu was initially reported in Rajasthan on January 6th. Then, the flu was reported in Kerala. It effected more than one lakh birds all over the country including ducks and chicken. Kerala has declared this bird flu outbreak as a state disaster. The responsible teams have deployed rapid response teams for culling and surveillance and determin the root cause of the flu. Madhrya Pradesh has banned poultry delivery from other states. HImachal Pradesh is limiting their poultry consumption and sales. Recently, Haryana and Gujarat have also reported cases of bird flu which could be possibly caused by the influenza virus which affects only birds. The disease is being spread by migratory birds. Humans can be effected if they consume poultry which has been effected by the virus. At the moment, no human has been reported affected by the bird flue outbreak in India. The Indian poultry sector is a key factor for helping our economy grow. The value of this market is Rs. 1.75 lakh crore. From 2019 to 2024, there is a projected 16.2%. The price of egg has dropped by 2 rs and the chicken prices have dropped between 27-29 Rs a Kg. Some sources believe this bird flu might be the cause of corona-virus. India COVID-19 Death Tally Crosses 1.5 Lakh Mark, Number Of Cases Increase Rapidly January 06, 2021 11:24

India health officials reported 18,088 new COVID-19 cases with 21,314 recoveries and 264 deaths in the last 24 hours. This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in India to 1,03,74,932 according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The total number of cases in India have increased by a lakh totaling the number of COVID-19 cases to 2,27,546 and the total recoveries have reached 9,97, 342. Maharashtra is the state in India with the most number of COVID-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, there have been 3160 new cases, 2828 recoveries and 64 deaths in the respective state. 1,400 birds found dead in H.P, state on control January 04, 2021 10:53

More than 1,400 birds were found dead in the Pong Dam area of Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. The unfortunate situation has caused the state government to question the reason for this disaster. The government has suspended tourism activities and reservoir’s precincts until further orders. Wildlife authorities have taken samples from the carcass of the migratory birds. The samples have been sent to the High Security Animal Disease Laboratory in Bhopal to find out the cause of death of multiple birds. The Pong Dam lake wildlife sanctuary has ordered a search on the entire place for more carcass. Initially, only 421 migratory birds were found. Over the subsequent days, there were more birds found, rounding up to a total of 1400. Due to the recent situation, the Kangra deputy commissioner-cum-district magistrate Rakesh Kumar Prajapati ordered an issue under the Disaster Management Act in 2005. This states that mp domestic livestock activity will be allowed in a one kilometer circumference around the area. The area has been declared as the alert zone. There will also be a 9 kilometer circumference surveillance zone. The cause of death has not yet been revealed. Sources state that most of the dead birds are the bareheaded geese. By Meena Atmakuri

Tesla sold around 4,00,000 cars in 2020 setting a record for the Automobile company. The company is now expanding its automobile set-ups to Texas and Germany in the year 2021. There are also plans that the company is expanding its electric-car setup in China. Last Saturday, Tesla announced that just in their fourth quarter which was their final quarter they sold 180,570 vehicles. This was only 450 vehicles less than how much CEO Elon Musk predicted the car company would sell. CEO Elon Musk took to twitter to thank the entire Tesla team. He also stated that initially he thought the car company wouldn't even sell 10% of what they sold today. Tesla is now planning on expanding their business to different countries. Tesla is planning on setting up new factories in Austin, Texas and Germany. Analysts predict that since Tesla did so well in the year 2020, the car company will do much better in 2021. India begins the COVID-19 vaccine drive January 02, 2021 11:07

Just before the New Year began, the COVID-19 vaccinations arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, delivered by Cargo planes. The vaccines were immediately taken from the planes to two cold storage facilities which are guided by full security. Now Delhi’s 11 districts to which the vaccine was delivered to have 55-60 cold storage segments. The vaccines will be delivered to 1000 vaccination booths all across Delhi. According to sources, 51 Lakh citizens across Indian will the in the first phase for getting the vaccine. Centres in Haryana, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata have been marked for storing and giving the vaccination. All the vaccination booths in the country will be at 48 government and 100 private hospitals. After the person is given the vaccination dose, there is a mandatory observation for 30 minutes to check if the patient is suffering from any side effects. The vaccination will be guarded by a lot of security during the entire delivery process. All the hospitals which will be receiving the vaccine will receive a message from health officials. In India, there are 3500 people from the health department who are trained and administered in giving the vaccine. 600 healthcare professionals are from private hospitals who will be giving the vaccine to patients. Each vaccination booth will have 5 vaccination officers who will be in charge of vaccination, verification and updating information on the government websites the post-morning after the vaccine. India to start giving out vaccines from Jan 2021 December 31, 2020 13:00

India is now home to two COVID-19 strains and the situation is slowly slipping out of hand. However, last Wednesday, Britain authorised the use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine which is the first vaccine for the new mutant strain. After the country’s approval of the vaccine, it is now being sent out to India from the UK to control the spread of the COVID-19 mutant strain. The vaccination process will begin in January 2021. The first phase will be prioritised in terms of issuing the vaccine. By July 2021, India plans on giving 30 crore doses to 30 crore citizens in the country. The Oxford-AstraZeneca is the second vaccine to become authorised after the Pfizers vaccination. 20 total cases of the new mutant COVID-19 strain December 30, 2020 12:16

A total of 20 people who have returned to India from the UK have been testes positive for the new mutant strain of the COVID-19 virus. The new variant has been named SARS-CoV-2. The Union Health ministry declared on Wednesday that there are a total of 20 cases of the mutant strain in India. Initially they found 6 people who were found positive with the strain. Now the number has increased to 20. The mutant strain samples have been sent to labs all across India to decode its features and find out the properties of designing its vaccine. The infected citizens who have arrived from the UK have been kept in isolation at designated health care facility centres a cording to their respective state government. Those who are close to them, including their family, peers, helpers etc. have also been kept under quarantine. The mutant strain samples have been dispatched to INSACOG samples all across India. Other than India, the UK variant has been found in other countries including Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Canada, Singapore, Spain, Lebanon and Japan. On 25 November, 33,000 passengers have arrived at various airports in India from the UK. They are all being tracked and subjected to the RT-PCR test by the state and union territories respective governments. The Indian Government is taking effective measures and strategies to contain the virus and eradicate it as soon as possible before wide spreading it and creating another phase of the virus.. Keeping this in mind, the Indian government has suspended all flights which are coming from the UK till January 7th. Jammu and Kashmir man arrested by FBI for sex racket involving US kids December 23, 2020 11:37

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and CBI received information regarding a 35 year old man from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on charges of running an online child abuse and sex racket from India which targets minors who are living in the United States. The suspect Niyaz Ahmed Mir, would upload pornographic videos and images over the infamous dark web for earning money. The dark web is an online webiste which cannot be accessed easily where the viewer can view illegal videos, images, buy illegal products etc. The suspect would involve in direct communication with many minors across the United States. The suspect and his US-based wife, Tamara Stanley were allegedly running this racket together. The wife was also involved in a “master-slave relationship” with her husband according to sources. With the help of Mir’s directions, she would exploit minors by recording the abuses and sending them to her husband through multimedia messages and emails, according to police officials. Production of child pornography is punishable by a mandatory 15 years minimum in prison and can last up to 30 years of prison. Stanley was previously arrested on June 25 in an ongoing cyber crime probe. She was also arrested for sexually exploiting and underage teenage girl. Among all this stir, Elon Musk has revealed quite an interesting bit of information. He took to twitter to say how he considered selling his company Tesla to Apple but then Apple CEO Tim Cook did not ever arrange a meeting.
