Aamir Khan's younger brother Faisal Khan, is all set to return to the movies after a long gap of 9 years, with a love story.
The proposed movie Chinar: Daastaan-E-Ishq is based on Urdu novel ‘Jheel Jalti Hai’ by former bureaucrat-turned-politician Farooq Ahmad Renzu.
Sharique Minhaj, who directed Faisal in his last film Chand Bujh Gaya, based on Godhra riots in 2005, will direct this love story set in Kashmir.
"Kashmir is an identity of romanticism and culture but the films made in the last 20 years were on violence. I wanted to change that and wanted to make a film on culture. I came across the novel and saw the real colours of Kashmir in it," the director Sharique Minhaj said.
The director happily said that this movie is 100 percent "pure Kashmiri film" with no connection to the militancy that erupted in the region over two decades ago, And the team said that this a different story with the conventional scripts in Bollywood.
Faisal said, the story and importance really forced him to join the making of such a great love story.
