Five songs of Kamasutra 3D is contending for nomination with 75 others at the 86th Oscars in the Original Song category. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that the songs Sawariya, Aygiri Nadani, Of The Soil, Har Har Mahadeva and I Felt made it to the Best Original Song list .

Lyrics of the songs have been writen by Rupesh Paul and Pratyush Prakash while its music have been composed by music directors Sachin and Sreejith. Kerala-based Rupesh Paul has directed the multilingual film Kamasutra 3D that stars Sherlyn Chopra. Other than 'Kamasutra 3D', The Great Gatsby is the only other film that has five songs in the Original Song category.

The nominations for the 86th Academy Awards will be announced on January 16, 2014 live and on March 2, 2014 the award ceremony will be held. For the 2013 Academy Awards, 289 films have been deemed to be eligible. 'Kamasutra 3D' is also in contention for Original Score and Best Motion Picture. The movie has already been released in the US.
