Asia Cup 2012: India takes on Bangladesh

c

Expectations are mounting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where the Asia Cup 2012 is played. Today’s match is between India and Bangladesh. Though India won the maiden encounter in the series against Sri Lanka, confidence lacks among Indian fans about today’s game. But still there are not many speculations about the victory against the home team. But the controversy that highlights in this contest is will Sachin Tendulkar get a chance to cross over the much hyped and expected hurdle of 100th 100.

This has been evading the Master Blaster for some time. Fans prayers seem to be unanswered till now shall be answered today on the Bangla grounds, predict pundits. But if at all that happens then this would be the lamest century that the renowned batsman could boast off. Though I join the prayers with the millions for the stalwart to embark on this mission, I sincerely hope that he makes it against the Lankans or the Pakistan team and preferably in the finals at a crucial point. This would be worth remembering and prove a point to his detractors. India's targets are now simple: get some momentum going when it comes to winning and if possible, get Sachin Tendulkar 100th ton too out of the way in the process. (AarKay)
