Djokovic clinches singles, Paes - Hingis duo won mixed doublesTennis

Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open 2015 title on Sunday final, defeating England's Andy Murray with 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-0. Serbia’s ace player, Djokovic lifted his fifth Australian Open trophy and is now closer to Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer with eight Grand slam titles to his credits.

 

While, Andy Murray who faced defeat in finals fourth time, have to wait for next year’s series to get his first Australian Open title.

India's Leander Paes and Swiss’ Martina Hingis have won in mixed doubles segment, with 6-4, 6-3 scores over France’s Kristina Mladenovic and Canada’s Daniel Nestor.

This is Paes's 15th Grand slam title including three Australian Open mixed doubles titles. Ironically, Hingis won the 2006 Australian Open mixed doubles title with Mahesh Bhupathi, who was Paes' former longtime doubles partner.
