As the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gears up to meet Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung to end the political logjam and discuss about government formation in the capital city today, Congress is trying to lure in Kejriwal and his team of twenty-eight by extending unconditional support and putting a new spin to the political pitch in the Capital.

However, despite Congress extending an olive branch, AAP seems to be firm on its stand.

Just a few minutes ago, Aam Aadmi Party expressed its clear intentions to not seek support of either Congress or the Bharatiya Janata Party to form the government.

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal will meet Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at 10:30 am today to decline Congress' offer.

The Congress party wrote a letter to the Lieutenant Governor on Friday offering unconditional support and eight legislators to AAP. Meanwhile, BJP Delhi in-charge Nitin Gadkari has openly dared the AAP to form the government in the national capital and accomplish the promises they made in their manifesto.

The government formation has literally become a case of 'pehle aap' with both Congress and BJP pushing AAP to take the plunge.

The BJP, which emerged as the single largest party in the recent State Assembly Elections 2013, with 32 MLAs is not staking claims to form the government as it isshort of four MLAs.

Meanwhile, AAP, that emerged second with 28 MLAs, is considering re-poll over government formation.

According to political soothsayers, since all Congress, BJP and AAP have dismissed any post-poll alliances, the chances pf president's rule look high.
