A Cobrapost sting has claimed that senior BJP leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi knew about plans for demolishing the Babri Masjid structure. The Cobrapost sting also named then UP chief minister Kalyan Singh to having information about the the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992.

The second sting operation from Cobrapost, regarding the demolition of the historic structure, comes only two days before the country goes into the first phase of the Lok Sabha election 2014.

According to Cobrapost, the Babri demolition was planned in advance, and both Advani and Joshi knew about it.

The Cobrapost sting says that the whole thing was planned and not a spontaneous act by a crazy mob. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Shiv Sena had discussed the conspiracy openly. In fact the cadres were even given specific training for the mission, added Cobrapost.   

An oath to demolish the historic structure was taken in Advani and MM Joshi's presence. Kalyan Singh had been informed about plans to demolish the structure on December 5, 1992.

On December 6, 1992 the Babri Masjid was demolished by a mob.

Reacting to the latest Cobrapost sting the BJP has asked the Election Commission to stop the  broadcast of the sting operation for a peaceful election.
