On second anniversary of Nirbhaya her mother demands for the societal change along with that strong implementation of the law for crime against women. If our society changes then 90% of the crimes will stop. It is found that relative friends and known persons. In such cases government should implement strict law.
Demands to the governments remain same, the methods of law needs to be changed. The cases from that day to till date you can see juveniles are involved because they know that they are not punished.
She asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring in some steps to make crime free nation, like Swatch Bharat Abhiyan. In which he is successful in making the clean India campaign.
On December 16, 2012, a 23 year old physiotherapy student was reaped by 6 men and including one juvenile in the bus. Where she was succumbed with heavy intestine injuries at hospital in Singapore, were she was taken to further treatments.
This made the Delhi to be known as the rape capital city of the country, by which authorities were made to enact tougher law, including death sentence for the rape offenders.
The four accused who were involved in the case were sentenced to death penalty on September 2013 by the Delhi high court. Uphold the death penalty in March 2014.
