Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh imposed a ban on the sale of meat and liquor in Mathura. All the people who are involved in such trade are asked to make alternate opportunities. Yogi Adityanath made these statements at the Krishnotsava 2021 program in Mathura. He also suggested the people to take up milk business as Mathura was once known for producing a huge quantity of quality animal milk. He offered prayers to Lord Krishna to eradicate the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"We are looking for modern technology and culture to protest the heritage of Mathura and the region. I thank our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the new direction in India. All the places of faith which are neglected are now revived. When several states have lost investments because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Rs 66,000 crores are invested in Uttar Pradesh. The interstate connectivity from Bihar, Uttrakhand, Nepal, MP, Delhi and Chhattisgarh are initiated" told Yogi Adityanath. The state's cabinet ministers Shrikant Sharma and Laxmi Narain Chaudhary are present on the occasion.
