Separatist leader Yasin Malik and swami Agnivesh have expressed same opinion on the resettlement of the Kashmir Pandits in the Kashmir valley. In a joint press conference Swami Agnivesh said,” Constructing a separate colony will kill concept of composite culture” over the returning of the Pandits.

While Yasin Malik, said “We won’t allow the government to construct or establish separate colonies for the Pandits, they can settle with us – we can live together and die together”

Both the leaders were taken into custody by the police while marching towards Narbal in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Hindu right wing organizations are taking on Agnivesh’ comments seriously. This is not first time for Swami to get strong criticism, he was severely taken over his comments on Puri Jagannath temple issue.

Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik was on a 30-hour long hunger strike against the government's decision of special land or colony to the Kashmiri Pandits. Hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Hurriyat(Moderate) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq put under house arrest in preventive condition.
