Team India is touring against West Indies and the ODI series came to an end with the third ODI that took place last evening. After leading the series by 2-0, Team India aimed for a clean sweep. The final ODI took place in Queen's Park Oval and India won the toss and decided to bat first. Team India scored 225 for the loss of three wickets in their 36 overs as the rain delayed the game. Shubman Gill (98 not out), Shikhar Dhawan (58) and Shreyas Iyer (44) are the top scorers for the side. Hayden Walsh Jr (2/57), Akeal Hosein (1/43) and Kyle Mayers (0/8) got the best spell among the West Indies bowlers.
Chasing a target of 226 in 36 overs, West Indies tumbled down for 137 runs. Nicholas Pooran (42), Brandon King (42) and Shai Hope (22) are the top scorers for the side. The match was completed in 26 overs. Yuzvendra Chahal (4/17), Mohammed Siraj (2/14) and Shardul Thakur (2/17) bagged the most of the wickets among the Indian bowlers. India swept the ODI series by 3-0 and the team is looking forward to start the T20 series on a strong note. Shubman Gill was announced as the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series for his outstanding contribution for the team. The first T20 match between India and West Indies will take place tomorrow evening at 8 PM Indian time.
