After a lull of two years, Motorola is back and in a big way. The company is now eyeing to take the Indian tech bazaar by a storm with the launch of Moto G.
Released in New Delhi, the mid-ranger mobile phone, priced at Rs 12,499 for the 8GB version and Rs 13,999 for the 16GB model, might help the Lenovo acquired company relaunch itself in a new way in Indian market.
Flipkart, which was involved in the pre-launch promotion, has been granted the exclusive rights to sell the phone online in India.
Hailed as one of the most well-received mid-range phones of last year, the Moto G arrives with bells and whistles and is perfectly suited for its strengths. The price is right, and appears to be quite a bargain considering its specs.
The water-resistant handset is equipped with a 4.5-inch HD ‘edge-to-edge’ display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
What more, the dual-SIM handset runs Android 4.3 , although the the smartphone will get Android 4.4 KitKat soon. Under the hood, the device is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (Cortex-A7) processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
Then there is the 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash as well as a 1.3-megapixel front shooter.
And the best part, it's 2070mAh battery, which, as per Motorola's claims will give 30 percent more talk time than Apple’s current flagship, the iPhone 5s.
