With the general elections over our head, several Tollywood stars are campaigning for various political parties in Seemandhra and Telangana regions.

The latest actor to join the bandwagon is Samantha Ruth Prabhu who will be one of the star campaigners for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress party. Buzz is that she will be receiving a handsome remuneration for doing so.

Kona Neeraja, who is a personal dress designer of Samantha and daughter of Kona Raghupathi, who is contesting election from the YSR Congress party, had requested her to campaign for Raghupathi in his constituency, and the actress agreed.

The Attarintiki Daredi actress will receive Rs 1 crore for campaigning for the party.

Samantha, who debuted with “Ye Maaya Chesave” in 2010, has starred in around 20 movies in this brief year. Some of the movies have been Box Office blockbusters too.

Now, she is being widely lauded as lucky mascot and most of the Tollywood filmmakers are eying to cast her. Now with the actress becoming a star campaigner, it remains to be seen what good luck will she bring to Kona Raghupathi.
