Despite the discord about the number of seats it will eventually  win, most post-poll surveys are  congruent about BJP-led National Democratic Alliance clinching the Lok Sabha elections 2014 come 16 May.

The latest exit poll results released by NDTV-Hansa is predicting that BJP-led NDA would comfortably pocket 279 seats. Not just that, in the best case scenario, it could end up with a whopping 300 seats.

The Congress, on the other hand, is likely to get 103 seats and “other parties”, especially the regional ones, could win a total of 161 seats among themselves.

NDTV survey is hopeful that the BJP would snap 56 seats in Uttar Pradesh, its second highest tally in the state. The BJP had won 57 seats in UP 1998. But unlike others, NDTV survey is predicting that the Aam Aadmi Party would finish with four seats (2 seats in Delhi and 2 seats in Punjab).

Meanwhile, the final survey result of IBN-CSDS National Election Tracker survey predicts that the BJP-led NDA would comfortably win 274-286 seats while the Congress-led UPA will have to settle with-102 seats. If that happens, it would possibly be Congresss lowest total ever in a general election.

The overall tally results by ABP-Nielsen forecasts 281 seats to the NDA, 97 for UPA and 4 seats for AAP. The others or the  Third Front may win 161 seats.

Another survey by Times Now-ORG figures that the  NDA would only win 249 seats, while the UPA will get 148.

Zee News survey projects that the NDA will bag 289 seats, the UPA 100 seats and other parties will divide 153 seats between them.

India TV  survey assumes that NDA alliance will get 289 seats while UPA will win only 06 seats.

India Today poll says that the BJP-led NDA could win 261-283 seats, while the Congress-led UPA won't bag more than110-120 seats.

Will Modi sweep Nitish's Bihar?

The final vote estimate for Bihar shows the Congress-RJD combine inching up by 1 percent to 30 percent. This upward movement likely reflects the fact that Lalu Yadav's momentum carried him upward in the final 6 north west Bihar constituencies that went to polls on May 12.
