Four more Indians on board the Cruise Ship tested Positive for COVID-19

The Japanese crew has witnessed another four Indian crew members being tested as positive for the COVID-19. The four Indian crew have been tested along with all the others who have been present in the cruise ship who are still on board the cruise ship and the total count of Indian nationals who have been tested and were declared as being infected with the deadly coronavirus is said to be twelve, as said by the India embassy on Sunday.
The quarantine period of the Japanese cruise ship which is named as Diamond Princess has come to an end during the last week and the passengers who has shown no signs of the deadly COVID-19 have started de- boarding the ship.
Yoshihide Suga who is the Chief Cabinet Secretary has said that over 1,000 passengers and crew would be remaining on board the ship after the disembarkations.
Deboarding the ship has been allowed to around 100 more passengers who have been in close contact with the infected individuals, on Saturday.
The Indian embassy has posted in its twitter handle where in he has mentioned that around four Indian crew members have been tested positive for the deadly COVID- 19 in the Diamond Princess Japanese ship.
Earlier, around eight Indian nationals have been declared as being infected with the deadly coronavirus after they have undergone the medical tests.
The mission has added saying that, “All 12 Indians are responding well to the treatment.”
It has also been said by the Indian embassy that several medical tests would be conducted to all the Indians and the others who are still on board the ship after all the healthy passengers have been disembarked.
The Indian embassy has stated saying, “All Indian nationals, amongst others, on board Diamond Princess will be tested for COVID-19 by the Japanese authorities, after all passengers disembarked on Friday.”
The Japanese cruise ship named Diamond Princess has been docked at the Yokohama port, near Tokyo on the 3rd of February which consisted of a total of 138 Indians which included 132 crew and 6 passengers and the total number of passengers on board the cruise ship were said to be around 3,711.
The Diamond Princess cruise ship had been quarantined after a passenger who has disembarked last month in Hong Kong was found to be a carrier of the deadly coronavirus when he was tested.
A quarantine period for 14 days is said to be expected for the people who are still on board the cruise ship as the isolation of many of them had not been possible as they were needed in order to keep the ship running, based on an AP report on Saturday.
The deadly coronavirus which has been named as COVID- 19 has taken its origin in the Wuhan city of China where the first case has been recorded and the virus has been infected several thousands of people and is claiming lives as it has spread across several countries across the globe. The first case of death that has been caused due to the deadly COVID- 19 was recorded in Philippines.
The Wuhan city in Hubei province has also been visited by the team of World Health Organization experts in order to conduct a detailed probe regarding the deadly COVID- 19 which has been reported that it has originated from a sea food market in the Wuhan City of China and the first case has been recorded on the 31st of December of the last year.
