Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will play the role of a mother in her next film 'Durga Rani Singh'. The 'Queen' star will portray the character of a teenager's mother in Sujoy Ghosh’s next movie.

The 27-year-old actress will play the role of a 35-year-old mother to a paralytic teen girl. That’s a bold decision Kangs. We like it.

Vidya Balan was originally signed for the role. But for some reasons, Vidya is no longer in the project. Bollywood is buzz with the rumour that she is pregnent.

Sujoy had earlier signed Vidya Balan for this movie, but the actress has apparently been dropped; rumours are rife that she is pregnant.

Sujoy, who was looking for someone to replace Vidya in 'Durga Rani Singh', felt that Kangna would be the best, especially after her success in 'Queen'.
