Ilayathalapathy Vijay slowly cemented his position across Telugu states and his last films made Rs 10-15 crores in theatres which is a decent number. The actor completed the shoot of his upcoming movie Beast and the post-production work reached the final stages. There are speculations that the film will hit the screens on April 14th but the makers today made an announcement that Beast will hit the screens on April 13th in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The film also completed its censor formalities and it was awarded U/A certificate.

A brand new poster of Vijay carrying a rifle is released. Both the singles that are released are smashing hits. Nelson is the director and Pooja Hegde is the heroine. Anirudh scored the music and background score. Sun Pictures produced Beast and the Telugu theatrical rights are acquired by Asian Films for Rs 10.5 crores. The film will head for a clash with KGF: Chapter 2 and the film is announced for April 14th release. Beast is carrying huge expectations but the film will face tough competition from KGF: Chapter 2.
