NCP chief Sharad Pawar attacked the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi while addressing a rally in Mumbai. Pawar criticised Modi as being ignorant about the country's history and that he was not fit to be at the helm of affairs in India.

The NCP supremo was also critical of the BJP for seeking votes in the name of one man. He stated that the Congress was not going to the people asking for votes in the name of leaders like Indira Gandhi or Jawaharlal Nehru.
