BJP leader Narendra Modi on Monday attacked JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar for holding himself fit for the prime minister's job in the country. The BJP's prime ministerial candidate was speaking at a rally in Bihar's Purnia when he hit out at the state's chief minister.

Modi said that Nitish Kumar always harboured PM dreams and went to the extent of breaking his alliance with the NDA for his aspirations.

The BJP leader stated that Nitish's dreams of prime ministership gives him sleepless nights. He also criticised the JD(U) leader for projecting himself as a better candidate for the top job recently.

Modi also accused Nitish of having a high opinion of himself and believing that he is better qualified.

Modi was critical of the Third Front saying that the alliance is formed of PM aspirants and former PMs. It has worked in favour of the Congress and saves it in holding power at the centre. The Gujarat chief minister accused the Third Front of waking up during polls and going off to sleep after elections are over.

The BJP leader in his address at the historic Ranbhoomi Ground stated that only the BJP-led NDA can form a stable government in India.

This was Narendra Modi's second rally in Bihar. Earlier Modi had addressed a meeting in Muzaffarpur, where the BJP announced it's alliance with Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) of Ram Vilas Paswan.
