Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a big rally in Dhar on his 75th birthday, referenced an exclusive report from India Today which showed Jaish-e-Mohammad confessing for the first time that they faced setbacks in India's Operation Sindoor. He stated that the admission from a high-ranking Jaish leader demonstrated that New India not only takes strong action against terror but also does not fear nuclear threats from anyone. "Pakistani terrorists have taken away the sindoor from our sisters and daughters. We conducted Operation Sindoor and demolished their terror training camps. Our courageous armed forces brought Pakistan to its knees in no time. Just yesterday, people across the nation and the globe watched another Pakistani terrorist emotional recount his experiences. This is a new India. We are not afraid of threats from anyone's nuclear capabilities. This is a new India that targets terrorists in their own locations," PM Modi declared, receiving loud cheers.

His comments came after India Today’s report featuring Jaish leader Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, who, in a now-popular video, confessed that members of Jaish chief Masood Azhar's family died during the May 7 assault on the group's Bahawalpur headquarters – Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah. This military action was executed in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 25 tourists. In addition to Bahawalpur, eight other terrorist locations were also destroyed in what has been characterized as India's boldest airstrike deep within Pakistan. In his confession, Kashmiri, surrounded by Pakistani security forces, admitted that Azhar's family was "torn into pieces" during the Bahawalpur operation. He also acknowledged Jaish's involvement in the Delhi and Mumbai terror attacks and revealed that the Balakot area of Pakistan had been a long-standing base for Masood Azhar's plans and operations.

Kashmiri stated, "After being released from Tihar jail in Delhi, Amir-ul-Mujahideen Maulana Masood Azhar came back to Pakistan. To continue his vision, mission, and programs, the land of Balakot provides him with refuge. This land and every part of it owes him gratitude. The Amir-ul-Mujahideen Maulana Masood Azhar, who caused tremors in Delhi and Mumbai, is in this form." He also claimed that instructions to participate in the funerals of Jaish terrorists killed in Bahawalpur came directly from Pakistan's General Headquarters, with generals dispatched on orders from the Army Chief. According to him, the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations then attempted to hide the evidence of the connection between Bahawalpur and Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Another disclosure emerged when Kashmiri mentioned the fear among terrorist groups following Operation Sindoor, admitting that the attack had shaken militant organizations. He openly called for uniting different jamaats and missions under "Mission-e-Mustafa," urging fighters to revive jihad despite their challenges.
